Francesco Spampinato

Throughout the era of modernism, a close and intricate bond has existed between visual and music production. Beginning with Luigi Russolo’s Futurist manifesto “L’Arte dei Rumori” in 1913 to Marcel Duchamp’s innovative double-sided discs “Rotoreliefs” in 1925, the 20th century witnessed a rich interplay between sounds and shapes, marks and melodies, forging a dynamic exchange across various realms of composition and performance.
